Speaking at the closing session of session 43, on the afternoon of March 14, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that after 2.5 working days, the National Assembly Standing Committee had completed giving opinions on 12 contents.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions and basically agreed on 7 draft laws to prepare for the 9th session. Of which, the 2 draft laws were commented on by the National Assembly at the 8th Session and approved at the 9th Session, which are the Law on Special Consumption Tax and the Law on Corporate Income Tax. 5 draft laws for initial comments, including: Law on Amendment and Supplementation of the Law on Product and Goods Quality, Railway Law, Personal Data Protection Law, Emergency situations Law.

The National Assembly Chairman requested that National Assembly agencies coordinate to absorb the opinions of the National Assembly Standing Committee to complete the submission of documents to National Assembly deputies to ensure the prescribed time.
Regarding issues with different opinions, he emphasized that the agencies should discuss and have a unified plan, in the spirit of ensuring socio-economic growth, national defense and security, building a government system... to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
The National Assembly Standing Committee also voted in favor of reducing land rent in 2024. In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee agreed that there was no need to issue a Resolution explaining the standards of "clean and strong Party and mass organizations" in the Emulation and Reward Law, and at the same time suggested a plan to propose to the Government to choose a solution...

To implement the process of amending the Constitution and the law in Conclusions 126, 127 of the Politburo, the Secretariat and Chairman of the National Assembly said that the 9th Session of the National Assembly is expected to open early in early May, after the holidays of April 30 and May 1.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, the amount of preparation work for the session is very large, in which the laws need to be passed before June 30, but so far the agencies have studied and reviewed, and have not yet submitted documents to the National Assembly Standing Committee. Therefore, Mr. Tran Thanh Man suggested that relevant ministries and branches ensure the content, quality, and submission time.
The National Assembly Chairman also said that the National Assembly Standing Committee is expected to hold an additional meeting at the end of March to give opinions on the preparation for the 9th Session and other contents. In the second half of April, after the competent meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee will meet continuously to adjust the commune-level boundaries; arrange about 60-70% of the commune level.
The April meeting is expected to last for 10 days, organized in 2 phases to review more than 45 contents. During the two sessions, a full-time National Assembly delegation conference is scheduled to be held to collect opinions on a number of draft laws before submitting them to the National Assembly at the 9th Session. In addition, there are foreign affairs activities and other activities.
Therefore, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that the National Assembly agencies coordinate more closely with the Government, ministries and branches with proactive and scientific work plans, report to the Chairman and Vice Chairman on arising issues for direction; promote a sense of responsibility, focus highly, make more efforts, and give the highest priority to prepare for the 9th Session.
