It is expected that the 2nd session of the 55th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will take place in 1.5 days (starting from March 18 to morning of March 19, 2026).
Accordingly, on March 18, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Commendation; the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Representative Offices of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad.
At the same time, consider and approve the Prime Minister's proposal on the appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad; consider and approve the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee promulgating the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Regulations; consider and approve the Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 1744/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated June 27, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the List of Members of the National Judge Selection and Supervision Council.
In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee also gave opinions on the Submission of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court submitting to the National Assembly for approval the proposal to appoint Judges of the Supreme People's Court; gave opinions on the draft Law on Civil Status Registration (amended); gave opinions on the draft Law on the Capital (amended)
On March 19, the National Assembly Standing Committee continued its meeting and gave opinions on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on coordination mechanisms and specific policies to improve the effectiveness of preventing and resolving international investment disputes; giving opinions on the draft Law on Belief and Religion (amended)
In particular, at this meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider personnel work according to its authority.
Along with that, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and give written opinions on the following contents: Report of the Government on the situation of implementing the national target on gender equality in 2025; Report summarizing the activities of the Provincial People's Councils for the term 2021 - 2026.
