On the morning of September 8 (local time), within the framework of his official visit to South Korea, in Seoul, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Chairman of the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group Moon Jin Seok, according to VNA.
At the reception, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man thanked the feelings that Chairman Moon Jin Seok Group has for Vietnam and Vietnam - Korea relations; believing that the Friendship Parliamentary Group of the two countries will strengthen connectivity, bringing exchange and cooperation activities between parliamentarians and the two National Assemblies to become more substantive and effective.
Assessing that Vietnam-Korea relations are developing very well with political trust constantly being strengthened, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed that the two sides continue to promote practical and effective cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, trade, science and technology, defense, security, education and training, health, and people-to-people exchanges.
The National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized that cooperation activities need to create substantive results; agreements that have been signed through Party, Government and National Assembly channels need to be "clung to the end" by the parties to organize implementation.

Immediately after the visit, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that he would work with the National Assembly's agencies on the recommendations and proposals of the Korean side, issues under the authority of the National Assembly will be reported to the National Assembly for consideration and decision; issues under the authority of the Government, ministries, branches, and localities will be urged and requested to be resolved to the end.
According to the National Assembly Chairwoman, Vietnam and Korea have many similarities in family culture, spirit of studiousness, etiquette and sincere, simple feelings. Therefore, the two sides need to strengthen people-to-people exchanges, promote the country, people, and culture so that people of the two countries understand each other better, thereby creating a solid social foundation for cooperation and joint development.
Discussing the possibility of applying artificial intelligence (AI) in law-making, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that Vietnam has an AI Law and the National Assembly is promoting digital transformation, and also has its own AI application program in the National Assembly's activities, which has been implemented for more than a year and has brought clear efficiency.
Expressing agreement with the requirements of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the Friendship Parliamentary Group Moon Jin Seok expected that the visit of the National Assembly Chairman will contribute to promoting cooperation between the two countries not only in investment and trade but also cooperation in future technology fields such as AI, semiconductor and energy. According to him, Vietnam-Korea relations should not only stop at Vietnam being a production and supply base for Korean businesses, but need to become partners to shape the future together and promote new industries.
