Vietnam raises reaction to US accusations against General Raúl Castro

Vietnam is deeply concerned about the US Department of Justice's judicial measures to issue a criminal indictment against General Raúl Castro.

On May 22, answering a reporter's question asking to know Vietnam's reaction to the US Department of Justice's accusations against General Raúl Castro, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Phạm Thu Hằng stated clearly:

“Vietnam is deeply concerned about the US Department of Justice's judicial measures to issue a criminal indictment against former First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, former Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba Raúl Castro”.

Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang emphasized that Vietnam calls for constructive dialogue based on respect for international law, the United Nations Charter, respect for independence, sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of nations.

Once again, Vietnam strongly affirms the traditional solidarity and friendship with the brotherly Cuban people, calling for the implementation of the resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly requesting the lifting of unilateral encirclement and embargo against Cuba" - Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
