Immediately after the resounding success of the 14th National Congress, the entire Party, people and army celebrated the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026) with a special joyful spirit. The milestone of 96 years of the Party is even more meaningful as we enter the first year of the new term – a starting year that plays a decisive role in concretizing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, bringing strategic goals into reality. The pride in the glorious 96-year journey under the glorious Party flag is adding strength, arousing new spirit, new belief for us to firmly move forward.
Having gone through 96 springs since its birth, especially more than 80 years of the Party's rule, our Party has demonstrated a sustainable vitality, resilient bravery and correct leadership direction, leading the Vietnamese revolution from one victory to another. Since having the Party, our nation, with a thousand-year tradition of civilization, has continued to write heroic pages of history: leading the People's General Uprising of August 1945 to succeed, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; leading the entire people to defeat colonialism and imperialism in long-term resistance wars, bringing the country together and leading the whole country to carry out the renovation, construction, development and protection of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. Each ups and downs of history is a stepping stone forging our Party to become more and more mature and stronger on the path of serving the Fatherland and serving the People.
The journey of 96 years has affirmed: there is no political force other than the Communist Party of Vietnam with enough prestige, capacity and bravery to lead the revolution with the goal of serving the People. The ruling and comprehensive leadership role of the Party is the decisive factor in all victories of the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. What makes the strength and prestige of the Party is not only in the glorious feats, but also in the spirit of eagerness to learn, daring to look straight at the truth, bravely admitting shortcomings and determined to correct them. Thanks to that, our Party always innovates and self-rectifies to become increasingly clean and strong.
The 96-year journey of the Party has left many valuable lessons learned. First of all, the flag of national independence and socialism must always be firmly grasped - these are two strategic goals, closely linked together throughout the revolutionary process. National independence is a prerequisite for building socialism and Socialism is a solid foundation to ensure genuine and lasting independence for the nation. Imbued with that truth, our Party is always steadfast in the path that President Ho Chi Minh and our people have chosen: both resolutely protecting national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and persistently building socialism for the happiness of the people.
The profound and particularly important lesson is that the revolutionary cause belongs to the People, by the People, for the People. The people are both the ones who make historical victories, and the source of endless strength for the Party to exist and develop. All guidelines and policies of the Party must originate from the legitimate interests and aspirations of the People. Our Party is trusted by the People to be entrusted with a mission and the Party has no other benefit besides serving the Fatherland and serving the People. President Ho Chi Minh once emphasized: "The Party is not an organization to become rich and prosperous. It must fulfill the task of liberating the nation, making the Fatherland rich and strong, and making the people happy." Uncle Ho's teachings still retain their value, reminding that the Party must always be closely attached to the People, taking the people as the root and taking the happiness of the People as the highest goal. Reality also shows that once bureaucracy, corruption, and alienation from the People occur, it will be an unpredictable danger to the destiny of the country and the survival of the Party.
Besides, our Party always values and constantly consolidates the great national unity bloc. "Solidarity, unity, great unity - Success, success, great success" - Uncle Ho's appeal crystallized the truth: unity is a precious tradition and the greatest source of strength of the Vietnamese revolution. The Party must know how to maximize the strength of the great national unity of the entire Party and people, harmoniously combining national strength with the strength of the times. This is both a lesson and an action motto for the Party to lead the People to overcome all difficulties and bring the country to a new height in the current context of globalization.
The big lesson covering everything is: the correct leadership of the Party is the leading factor determining all victories of the Vietnamese revolution. The past 96 years of history affirms the pioneering role, the "leading army" of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the cause of national liberation, construction and development of the country. If the Party wants to lead for a long time, it must always self-improve, self-refresh, maintain revolutionary nature and pioneering spirit. Our Party must constantly learn, creatively apply Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's ideology, constantly improve intelligence, political bravery, moral qualities and practical organizational capacity to be able to solve new problems posed by revolutionary practice. At the same time, the Party must be constantly vigilant, fight against major dangers to itself, especially errors in guidelines, deviations, economic backwardness, bureaucracy, corruption and degradation, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the internal ranks. Building a clean and strong Party in terms of politics, ideology, ideology, ideology, and tradition.
At each historical turning point, the Party promptly proposes correct policies and strictly corrects mistakes and shortcomings if any. The courage to "self-examine, self-correct" helps the Party avoid falling into dogma, stagnation, and constantly grow stronger to meet the requirements of the revolution through each period. From historical lessons, our Party always proactively makes timely decisions; typically, the Doi Moi (Renovation) campaign from the 1980s brought the country out of crisis and developed strongly. Recently, in the face of corruption and degradation in a part of cadres and party members, the Party has issued many resolutions and conclusions and is determined to implement them to rectify and promote the struggle with the spirit of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions, everyone is equal before the law".
Today, looking back at the journey of nearly a century, we proudly realize: under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, from a slave, poor nation, Vietnam has risen to become an independent, unified, self-reliant nation, with an increasingly high position in the international arena; from a country exhausted after the wars, we carried out the Doi Moi (Renovation) of 1986, bringing Vietnam out of crisis, becoming a developing country with a middle-income income, and people's lives have been constantly improved. Looking out to the world, it can be affirmed: Vietnam's foundation, potential, position and international prestige are increasingly rising. Friends from five continents know Vietnam as a heroic nation in the struggle for independence, and at the same time as a reliable partner, a peace-loving nation and rising strongly in economy. Those great, historically significant achievements affirm the truth: the correct leadership of the Party is the decisive factor in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution, is the "national flag" of the Vietnamese revolution.
The 14th Party Congress has set out important strategic orientations and goals for the upcoming period, especially the determination to successfully implement the two 100-year strategic goals. The historical responsibility placed on the shoulders of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army is to realize those goals and aspirations into a vivid reality. Each Party organization, each cadre, party member - especially the head - needs to uphold the spirit of responsibility, set an example in implementing the 14th Party Congress Resolution, be proactive and creative, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility. The entire Party must continue to strengthen the building and rectification of the Party drastically, maintain discipline and order; further improve leadership capacity and combat strength; consolidate the close relationship with the People, rely on the People to control power and rectify the contingent. At the same time, the entire political system must get involved synchronously, promote efficiency to bring the Party's resolutions into life; continue to promote the patriotic emulation movement, arouse the aspiration to develop a prosperous and prosperous country.
Nearly a century since its birth, fighting and maturing, our Party has truly been a leader, a loyal servant of the people. The road ahead will be full of difficulties and challenges, but with the bravery, intelligence, and experience of the ruling Party, with the heroic tradition and the spirit of national unity, we will definitely overcome all obstacles, seize opportunities, and continue to achieve even greater victories. Under the glorious flag of the Party, we firmly move forward, determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress, determined to successfully build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam, firmly moving towards socialism.
Steadily stepping under the glorious Party flag, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army are determined to dedicate all their heart, intelligence, and bravery to build a powerful Vietnam, so that Vietnam can integrate more deeply into world politics, the international economy, and human civilization, so that we can stand shoulder to shoulder with the five continental powers in the new era. The spring of the country will always be beautiful and sustainable when every Vietnamese person - in any position - strives to build their homeland to become increasingly rich and strong, joining hands to build our Party to become increasingly clean and strong.
