Authorized by the Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra has just signed the Government's report to National Assembly deputies on the management of cadres and civil servants.
The report said that since the beginning of 2024, 139 officials and 432 civil servants have been disciplined.
According to Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra, the handling of disciplinary violations by officials and civil servants must ensure the principles of objectivity, fairness; publicity, strictness; accuracy, timeliness; proper authority, order, and procedures according to regulations, contributing to the fight against and prevention of corruption, negativity, group interests, and degradation in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle.
The report also said that implementing the Party's policy of promptly replacing cadres with limited capacity, reduced prestige, shirking responsibility, and continuing to rectify and strengthen discipline and administrative order, the Government and the Prime Minister have issued and directed the completion of legal regulations to promote the spirit of innovation and creativity of cadres and civil servants.
This is to create a safe and complete legal environment and corridor for cadres and civil servants of ministries, agencies and localities to confidently perform their duties and public services according to regulations.
The Government and the Prime Minister have also issued many documents to thoroughly overcome the situation of pushing things around, working half-heartedly, avoiding responsibility, fearing responsibility, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of direction and administration.
Ministries, branches and localities have actively and proactively implemented seriously and effectively the assigned tasks and solutions, gradually improving responsibility and effective coordination in management and organization of political tasks of agencies and units.
In the coming time, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra said the Government will continue to improve the quality of civil servant recruitment; conduct unified quality control of civil servant input; perfect and implement well the mechanism and policies to attract and promote talented people with good professional qualifications to work in state agencies.
Innovate the work of evaluating cadres and civil servants, ensure substance, take results and specific work products as important criteria in evaluating and classifying the quality of cadres and civil servants.
Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra also emphasized the need to strengthen inspection and examination of public services, tighten discipline, administrative discipline and control of power, and improve the quality and effectiveness of public service performance by cadres and civil servants.
Promote the implementation of legal regulations on encouraging and protecting dynamic and creative cadres who dare to think, dare to do, and dare to take responsibility for the common good.
"Strictly, promptly and resolutely handle and remove from the state apparatus cadres and civil servants who have degraded in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, shirked responsibility, committed violations or failed to complete assigned tasks," the report stated.
