At the opening night of Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024, designer Duc Hung closed the program with the collection "There is a winter like that".

Miss H'Hen Nie was both the first-face and vedette for designer Duc Hung's show.

The collection impresses from the first steps thanks to the meticulously quilted velvet material. Duc Hung uses bold and skillful cuts and slits to create a new fashion style that is still imbued with Vietnamese identity.

The delicate hems of the shirts - one of Duc Hung's exclusive marks - continue to conquer the audience with their craftsmanship and ingenuity.

Not stopping at traditional designs, Duc Hung catches up with modern fashion trends with short shapes, combined with wide-leg pants or short skirts. These designs bring a youthful, dynamic and vibrant feeling.

With each detail, he creates diverse shapes, such as flared dresses, lantern sleeves or floor-sweeping skirts, creating an unmistakable elegance and uniqueness. The soft silk material further enhances the shimmering beauty and grace in each movement of the model, affirming the designer's title of "color wizard".

The highlight of the collection lies in the 3D, spongy block-making technique, allowing the patterned panels to bloom like flowers on a noble velvet background. The contrasting embroidery colors further highlight each petal and leaf, demonstrating the ingenuity of the artisans' hands. The warm-toned velvet roses dotted on the felt background, along with the sophisticated crystal beading technique, have created a sparkling light effect, making each outfit a soulful work of art.

"There Was A Winter Like That" - is not only fashion, but also a story about a warm, gentle, and connected winter, where each design is like a beautiful and complete moment of Hanoi's winter.
