Bright spot in creative labor and spiritual support of workers
Over the past three years, with a sense of responsibility, courage and enthusiasm, the collective of BSR employees has achieved many impressive results: total production output of more than 20.5 million tons, consumption of 20.3 million tons; revenue of 393.3 trillion VND; after-tax profit of more than 11.5 trillion VND. BSR paid more than 42.3 trillion VND to the state budget, affirming its role as a key enterprise of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group.
Spreading the creative labor movement
In the period of 2023 - 2025, BSR recorded 4,183 registered innovation ideas, 1,592 initiatives were recognized, bringing a profit value of about 847 billion VND. Many initiatives have won high prizes at provincial and national creative competitions and Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards, demonstrating the spirit of " daring to think - daring to do" of BSR employees.
In particular, at the 2025 National Creative Labor Festival, many individuals of BSR were honored, affirming the pioneering position of the enterprise in the movement of innovation, energy saving, and environmental protection.
Caring for life, improving welfare
BSR Trade Union effectively implements the Resolution of the Congress for the 2023-2025 period, coordinating with the Company's Board of Directors in developing and adjusting personnel policies, salaries, benefits and working conditions. Programs such as purchasing health insurance for workers' relatives, supporting occupational health check-ups, maternity benefits, participating in voluntary pension insurance, etc. have contributed to significantly improving the lives of union members.
In the field of labor safety, the Trade Union coordinated to organize more than 130 training courses, attracting more than 29,000 participants, maintaining 53 million safe working hours continuously. The "Creative Space" and "operating Station - Green - Clean - Beautiful Workplace" movements have become a unique cultural feature, helping BSR win the second prize for the whole delegation at the 2024 Oil and Gas Industry Excellent Safety and Health Competition.
At the 5th general maintenance of Dung Quat Oil Refinery in 2024, the Trade Union launched the "Early destination - Safe - Effective" movement, honoring 269 individuals and 62 outstanding collectives; at the same time, organizing spiritual care activities such as providing drinking water and smoothies for the construction force and the online race "Ready For 5th turnaround", creating an atmosphere of competition and solidarity.
Building a strong trade union organization
The 9th BSR Grassroots Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, took place on October 27, 2025, with the motto "Innovation - Creativity - Connection - Efficiency - Sustainability". The Union's goal is to continue to represent, care for, and protect the rights of workers, accompanying businesses in developing in the context of energy transition and international integration.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Bui Ngoc Duong - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BSR highly appreciated the efforts of the Trade Union in connecting workers with the Board of Directors, affirming that the Trade Union organization is a "credible support" for workers, contributing to building a united, disciplined and creative collective. He suggested that the Trade Union focus on four key groups of tasks: strengthening propaganda, innovating activities, launching a creative emulation movement and building a team of brave and professional trade union officials.
In her speech, Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan - Chairwoman of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group Trade Union praised the outstanding results of the BSR Trade Union, emphasizing that the organization has innovated, practically cared for workers, and actively contributed to the safe and effective operation of Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
He suggested that BSR Trade Union continue to promote digital transformation, grasp the thoughts of workers, promote its pioneering role in the emulation movement "Good workers - Creative workers", contributing to building BSR into a strong, green and sustainable Refining and Petrochemical Corporation.
At the Congress, 13 comrades were elected to the Executive Committee of the 9th BSR Trade Union, representing more than 1,900 union members. Comrade Truong Thi Thu Ha was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Trade Union, term IX; the Vice Chairmen include Comrades Bui Ta Vu and Chu Thi Hanh Yen.
At the end of the Congress, BSR Trade Union honored 12 collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of workers and civil servants and building a strong Trade Union organization in the period of 2023-2025.
