The new Airbus A321 aircraft, numbered VN-A290 with a 230-seat configuration, will be put into operation on June 24. With this addition, Vietravel Airlines increases the total number of aircraft it owns to 4, marking an important step forward in the roadmap to increase the aircraft fleet ownership ratio and improve the airline's proactive operational capacity. This is also part of the plan to expand the fleet scale, with the goal of putting 7 more aircraft into operation in the last 6 months of 2026.
The development of a owned fleet not only helps Vietravel Airlines master operations and services, but also demonstrates a strong commitment to the airline's long-term orientation, always accompanying customers and the market. This is also the way Vietravel Airlines affirms its position as a brave private airline, strong enough to stand firm and reach far in the region; and at the same time bring customers complete flight experiences: from comfort, service to emotions.

In addition, the continuous addition of owned aircraft also reflects specific steps in the airline's new growth strategy under the companionship of strategic shareholder T&T Group. On the basis of expanding the fleet and route network, Vietravel Airlines is expected to gradually increase its connectivity with the aviation - logistics - infrastructure ecosystem that this Group is developing, creating more room for long-term growth.
In parallel, Vietravel Airlines is also strengthening the recruitment of pilots, flight attendants and operating personnel to meet development needs in the coming period. Most recently, the 9th Golden Lotus Ambassador Recruitment Day will be held in Hanoi on July 15 and Ho Chi Minh City on July 22.
Sharing about the company's development orientation, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy General Director of Vietravel Airlines - said: "The receipt of new aircraft owned at this time is proof of the airline's careful preparation to welcome the summer tourism wave. In addition to improving transport capacity, Vietravel Airlines aims to accelerate synchronous investment in both the scale of the aircraft fleet and the quality of human resources serving operations, ensuring absolute safety and bringing optimal operational efficiency.
In addition to expanding operational capacity, Vietravel Airlines is also promoting digital transformation to improve customer experience through the launch of an online check-in application on mobile devices, integrating biometric authentication to help passengers shorten check-in time at the airport, especially during peak hours.
Currently, Vietravel Airlines is operating a flight network connecting key economic and tourist centers in the country, and gradually expanding its presence in international markets. In addition to the regular route connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City with Bangkok (Thailand), the airline has deployed a series of Hanoi - Lanzhou charter flights (Guangxu, China) from June 20. It is expected that from August 2026, Vietravel Airlines will operate the Ho Chi Minh City - Shenzhen route and continue to open more Hanoi - Macau routes this year.
Previously, on June 15, Vietravel Airlines officially opened a new route connecting Hanoi - Buon Ma Thuot, and also marked the return to operation on the Hanoi - Cam Ranh route right in the peak summer of 2026.

Accompanying passengers during the peak tourist season, Vietravel Airlines launches a series of large-scale promotions throughout the sales system such as: Golden hour promotion for super-economic ticket sales ranging from only 8,000 VND during the golden hour 12:00 – 14:00, from Monday to Friday every week; weekend promotion with a direct 15% discount on ticket prices when passengers book tickets on Saturdays and Sundays; promotion to book tickets for the Hanoi – Shenzhen route with prices from only 668,000 VND and 50% discount on baggage charges.
