On August 16, 2025, in Singapore, within the framework of the 6th ASEAN Economic Forum with the theme "Integration to ASEAN economy in the era of growth", EVNHCMC was honored with two important awards of the ASEAN Award 2025: Top 10 Outstanding Enterprises of ASEAN 2025 and EVNHCMC General Director Nguyen Van Thanh was honored Top 10 Outstanding Leaders of ASEAN 2025.
In recent years, with the strategic orientation of "Digital Enterprises, Digital Services", EVNHCMC has synchronously deployed many comprehensive digital transformation solutions.
All electricity services are currently provided online through the website, National Public Service Portal and EVNHCMC application. EVNHCMC has completed the implementation of electronic services with the form of OTP and digital signature, more than 80% of customer requests are received and processed automatically thanks to the application of artificial intelligence ( Chatbot, Callbot...), helping to shorten waiting time and provide quick and timely feedback.
EVNHCMC is also the first unit in the industry to complete the replacement of 100% of electronic meters with the function of collecting data remotely, allowing customers to easily track daily electricity consumption via mobile applications. To date, nearly 100% of customers have paid their electricity bills in a non-cash manner.
EVNHCMC is also a pioneer in applying the world's leading modern technologies in the field of electricity such as: new materials technology, real-time equipment monitoring and operation technology, specialized construction and repair equipment and equipment...
EVNHCMC's achievements in digital transformation and smart grid development have also been recognized through many domestic and foreign awards. In 2023, the corporation won the Smart Grid Project of the Year award at the ENLIT ASIA 2023 International Conference - becoming the first unit of the Vietnamese electricity industry to be honored in this field.
In 2024, EVNHCMC continued to affirm its position when it was awarded the Smart Grid Award 2024 by Power Magazine (USA) for the DAS power distribution grid automation project and once again won at ENLIT ASIA 2024 with the project "power outage management map".
Also in 2024, EVNHCMC's Smart Grid Index (SGI) reached 80.4/100 points, ranking 41/91, a power company with a smart grid in the world, on par with many large power corporations such as Western Power (Australia), Dominion Energy (USA), BC Hydro and Hydro Ottawa ( Canada), TNB (Malaysia) and Westnetz (Germany).
In particular, EVNHCMC is one of two Vietnamese enterprises honored to receive the ASEAN Innovation Enterprise Award at the Asia IoT Business Forum (AIBP) with the project "Developing Smart Grid".
In the individual category, General Director Nguyen Van Thanh was honored for his strategic vision, innovative leadership, and leadership of more than 8,400 employees in the journey to modernize the electricity industry, develop clean energy and smart customer service.
This is a recognition of EVNHCMC's strategic orientation and leadership capacity in the comprehensive innovation process.
