On May 30, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and the National Digital Transformation Authority organized the Vietnam I4 Impact Awards ceremony to commend achievements for Vietnam Digital.
Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) was honored in 2 categories: Positive impact technology, Innovation for sustainable development, green environment and Mr. Pham Quoc Bao - Chairman of the Member Council of EVNHCMC - was honored in the Management & Leadership Capacity category.
In the Positive Impact Technology category, EVNHCMC is recognized for its digital platform serving customers. Through mobile applications, websites, switchboards, public service portals and integrated online channels, customers can access electricity services anytime, anywhere. This platform helps digitize and automate the process of receiving and processing requests, while supporting customers to look up electricity meter readings, invoices, online payments, track processing progress and service quality feedback in the digital environment.
Currently, EVNHCMC processes about 15 million service requests per year, 100% of transactions are carried out online, 81.32% of requests are processed automatically, 100% of non-cash payments.

In the Innovation for Sustainable Development and Green Environment category, EVNHCMC was honored for the results of developing Ho Chi Minh City's smart grid system. EVNHCMC has strongly shifted from manual operation to automation, centralized control and real-time data exploitation on the basis of technologies such as SCADA/DMS/OMS, remote meters, GIS, remote monitoring and operational data analysis.
To date, EVNHCMC operates 2 control centers, completing 60/60 unmanned 110kV substations in the Ho Chi Minh City area (formerly), 100% of the medium voltage grid operates automatically, 100% of distribution substations are remotely monitored. Operating indicators continue to improve, with SAIDI being 158 minutes, SAIFI being 1.41 times/year, and power loss being 2.86%.
In the Management & Leadership Capacity category, Mr. Pham Quoc Bao - Chairman of the Member Council of EVNHCMC - was honored for leading the Corporation in digital transformation, innovation and development of modern public utility enterprises. Under the leadership and direction of the Corporation's leadership collective, EVNHCMC has synchronously implemented digital transformation in the fields of technology, business and customer service, construction investment, internal management, telecommunications and information technology.

In the period 2020 - 2025, EVNHCMC implemented 17 scientific research topics and projects with a total budget of about 23.9 billion VND, including 5 Group-level topics. From 2012 to 2025, EVNHCMC had 1,853 recognized initiatives, implementing 36 science and technology tasks associated with production and business practices.
In 2025, EVNHCMC established the Innovation Hub Club, connecting more than 8,400 workers with universities, experts and solution providers.
