Right after the Lunar New Year holiday, EVNHCMC has identified ensuring safe and stable power supply for the election day of National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term as a key political task. EVNHCMC has synchronously deployed to all affiliated units, ready with manpower, materials and plans to avoid power interruptions," Mr. Luan Quoc Hung - Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC - emphasized when exchanging about the preparation for the great festival of the whole people.
According to Mr. Luan Quoc Hung, EVNHCMC has developed a plan to ensure electricity for all 168 wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City, with more than 5,000 polling stations, including Party Committee headquarters, People's Councils, People's Committees, Fatherland Front Committees, voter contact points, polling stations and locations for printing documents and issuing voter cards.
During the 10 peak days (from March 10 to March 20), especially on March 14, 15, 16, the entire system focuses on prioritizing power supply, organizing 24/24 duty, ready to handle incidents in the fastest time.
From the dispatch center of EVNHCM, which monitors and supervises the entire Ho Chi Minh City power grid system, to the on-duty workforce at each polling station, all stages are closely connected, specifically assigned and operated according to a prepared scenario. Each position, each department clearly defines its role and responsibility, proactively prevents risks and aims for a common goal of ensuring safe and stable power supply.

At power companies directly under EVNHCMC, the spirit of readiness is thoroughly grasped to each power grid management team. Mr. Ngo Khanh Nam - Deputy Technical Director of Binh Chanh Power Company - said that the unit has mobilized the entire force of about 120 technical staff and leaders divided into 7 clusters to be ready to be on duty during the election days.
“We arrange materials, personnel, vehicles, and generators at on-duty points and manage them in groups to monitor and effectively command. The power grid system is now operating automatically, so shut-off and transfer are carried out very quickly, ensuring safe and stable power supply for the election,” Mr. Nam said.

As for Ben Cat Power Company, Mr. Nguyen Van Lat - Deputy Technical Director - said that the company has proactively surveyed and inspected each polling station in charge of power supply, handled defects on the grid, cleared the corridor and fully prepared backup power supply plans.
“We not only check the records but also go directly to the scene, coordinate with the local authorities to review each point. The 24/24 duty plan is implemented throughout from March 10 to the end of March 20, ensuring safe and stable power supply in all situations,” Mr. Nguyen Van Lat said.
