The first project to use imported LNG as fuel for power generation
NT3&4 is the first power plant in Vietnam to operate entirely on LNG, strictly complying with international standards, affirming Vietnam's capacity to deploy modern and sustainable energy projects.
Gas project with large capacity and complex
With a total capacity of 1,624 MW, NT3&4 is currently the cluster of gas power plants with the largest capacity in the country. Each plant owns an 812 MW complex, which is currently at a high level in Vietnam - demonstrating the ability to absorb and operate advanced power generation technology on a large scale.

Applying technology to modern turbines and having top-notch power generation efficiency
The 9HA.02 gas turbine of GE (USA) is a technological highlight of the project, with outstanding performance. High heat resistance and meeting advanced operating standards of the electricity and gas industry. Thanks to this technology, the two plants achieve a power generation efficiency of over 62%, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions and becoming a gas power plant with a world-class technology platform in Vietnam.
Quick choice of EPC general contractor
The project's general contractor selection process has set a record when completing in just a relatively short time - 11 months for a large-scale project, even though it took place during the supply chain and limited contact due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The participation rate of Vietnamese contractors is large in high-tech gas power projects
In the EPC package, LILAMA takes on nearly 40% of the workload - affirming that the capacity of Vietnamese enterprises is increasingly improved in complex projects.
The first LNG power project to arrange nearly 1 billion USD in international loans without government guarantees
NT3&4 is the first LNG project in Vietnam to mobilize large international capital without using a Government guarantee. The participation of many international financial institutions in lending shows confidence in PV Power's financial capacity, governance and legal platform.

Optimal investment in current LNG and gas power projects
With the application of modern technology and advanced equipment, NT3 & 4 achieved optimal investment yields. This is the result of a process of strict cost management, effective negotiation and promotion of domestic internal resources, helping to optimize total investment.
With 10 outstanding marks, NT3&4 is not only the first two LNG power plants, but also a model for future gas power projects, while affirming PV Power's determination to ensure national energy security.
