Recently (December 28), Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) held a Conference to summarize production and business activities in 2024 and deploy tasks and plans for 2025 (internal session).
With the achieved results, Chairman of the Board of Members (BOM) of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung acknowledged and commended the efforts of the collective leadership, officers, employees, and workers in the entire group.
Regarding the 2025 mission, Mr. Le Manh Hung requested the entire group to recognize the role and mission of the 2025-2030 period in the production and business plan.
First of all, it is the awareness of the context, the world context still has difficulties; the domestic context, the era of national development shows the 2025 goal of achieving "double-digit" GDP growth.
This is a requirement of objective reality, a requirement of the country. Petrovietnam cannot be outside that context, therefore, the group must also plan for “double-digit” growth.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam requested the group to focus on preparing for Party Congresses at all levels, in conjunction with Petrovietnam's development strategy and personnel plan, in line with Conclusion 76 of the Politburo.
According to Mr. Le Manh Hung, the era change of the Oil and Gas industry will include 2 steps: Phase 1 (2025-2035) and Phase 2 (2035-2045). The Group needs to focus on improving the governance system, synchronizing with the institutional system, focusing on investment strategies, especially in the field of oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) and developing key projects in this field.
The Group has growth drivers such as: The country's requirement for "double-digit" growth is both mandatory and a driving force that will lead to increased demand for energy; global economic recovery helps Petrovietnam improve international trade; industrial gas E&P (LNG); electricity sector; continuing to recover and put difficult projects into operation to generate revenue and cash flow.
“With the above 6 driving forces and planning goals and strategies through 2 epochal transformations of the Oil and Gas industry, I believe that we will have sufficient foundation, basis and confidence to build and develop Petrovietnam - the National Energy Industry Group, with outstanding management capacity and the ability to compete in the region and the world”, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung emphasized.
