The storm and flood that lasted from late October to early November caused heavy rain in many Central provinces, deeply flooding thousands of houses, many traffic routes were cut off, and significant damage to people and property was recorded. Some areas such as Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Binh were severely affected, many households lost their income or had their houses severely damaged.
According to Prudential representative, the company recorded 3 customers in Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Quang Binh suffering damage during the recent storm and flood, the compensation cases were all completed in a short time within 4-8 hours, to promptly support customers and their families with a total amount of nearly 1 billion VND. In situations like storms and floods, fast payment is not only a professional commitment but a commitment to accompany customers, Prudential representative shared.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the entire insurance industry recorded a total compensation and other insurance benefits cost of VND 29,000 billion, of which Prudential accounted for more than 25%, equivalent to 1⁄4 of the entire industry. The payment of compensation and insurance benefits demonstrates a commitment to accompany customers during difficult times before the incident.
In parallel with compensation, last October, Prudential implemented community support activities in flood-affected areas such as donating 1 billion VND to the Vietnam Children's Support Fund to contribute to overcoming the consequences of floods to support material renovation, providing social security packages, teaching, learning and living support tools for schools affected by floods in the northern provinces.
In the first week of November, Prudential and the Prudence Foundation, together with CRC, organized a field survey and infrastructure renovation at many schools and residential areas, the program was attended by international volunteers and the Prudential Vietnam team.
