Strengthening connection with leading energy businesses in Thailand

On the afternoon of May 28, 2026, within the framework of the Vietnam – Thailand Business Forum 2026 held in Bangkok under the witness of senior leaders of the two countries, PV GAS and PTT signed a cooperation agreement to expand relations in the fields of LPG, LNG and natural gas.

PTT is the leading national energy corporation in Thailand, operating an integrated oil and gas value chain from upstream to downstream, and also playing a central role in the country's gas and LNG system. With operating scale spanning many fields from gas exploitation and transportation, LNG, refining and petrochemicals to new energy, PTT is considered one of the most influential energy enterprises in Southeast Asia.

According to the cooperation content, the two sides will strengthen market information exchange and jointly seek business opportunities in the fields of LPG, LNG and natural gas in Vietnam and Thailand. Cooperation contents include LPG and LNG supply through spot contracts, long-term contracts, emergency supply support mechanisms, joint purchase cooperation and coordinated freight transportation to optimize logistics efficiency.

In addition to commercial activities, PV GAS and PTT also aim to cooperate in operating, maintaining and developing LNG infrastructure, sharing experience in energy risk management, price fluctuation prevention tools and optimizing commercial activities for gas products.

Establishing a cooperation framework with PTT opens up opportunities for PV GAS to access more deeply the LNG and natural gas ecosystems of Thailand, while strengthening supply connection capabilities in the region, supporting PV GAS's LNG and natural gas market development strategy in the coming period.

Expanding LPG cooperation with leading businesses in the Philippines market

On the afternoon of June 1, 2026, within the framework of the Vietnam – Philippines Business Forum 2026 held in Manila, PV GAS and PETRON signed a cooperation agreement to jointly research, develop and implement trade opportunities in the LPG sector.

PETRON is currently the largest downstream energy enterprise in the Philippines, holding the leading position in the gasoline and LPG market, and owning a large-scale infrastructure system including oil refineries, warehouses, maritime logistics networks and thousands of retail outlets in the Philippines and Malaysia.

The agreement between the two sides focuses on three main pillars of cooperation. First of all, optimizing LPG supply and business operations through the development of spot and long-term transactions for propane, butane and mixed LPG; and building a supply support mechanism in market fluctuations or sudden shortages.

In addition, the two enterprises will study cooperation models for exploiting and using infrastructure, including LPG warehouses, storage tanks, wharves and transport fleets to improve the efficiency of the supply chain between Vietnam and the Philippines. The two sides will also share market data, legal information and supply and demand forecasts to improve business strategy planning capacity.

For PV GAS, cooperation with PETRON not only contributes to expanding the LPG partner network in Southeast Asia but also creates conditions for more efficient exploitation of sea transport routes, increasing flexibility in coordinating cargo sources and consolidating positions in the regional LPG supply chain.

In addition to cooperation agreements with PTT and PETRON, PV GAS also participated in a working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade/Vietnam National Group of Industry and Energy (Petrovietnam) in working sessions with Vitol Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the Philippines.

Participating and promoting cooperation activities with leading energy, trade and financial partners in the region during the working trip of senior leaders of Vietnam and Petrovietnam to ASEAN continues to affirm the proactive role of PV GAS in the process of integration and development. PV GAS is gradually increasing its presence in the regional energy value chain, expanding cooperation space, diversifying resources and improving competitiveness. This is also an important foundation for PV GAS to realize sustainable development goals, contributing to ensuring national energy security and enhancing the position of Vietnam's gas industry in the ASEAN region.
