Fusarium - persistent challenge, global threat
Yellow leaf and root rot disease caused by Fusarium spp. fungus is one of the difficult-to-control soil diseases, affecting many economically valuable crops. Globally, the Fusarium Tropical Race 4 (TR4) strain is forecast to affect about 17% of banana growing area by 2040, causing damage of more than 10 billion USD if not effectively controlled. In Vietnam, Fusarium spp. is also a factor causing yellow leaf and root rot disease on many high-value crops such as durian, banana, coffee and citrus.
Vaniva® 450SC: Dual impact protects root system and soil health
Vaniva® 450SC applies TYMIRIUM® technology with Cyclobutrifluram active ingredient, which helps control plant parasitic nematodes and important fungal diseases in the soil, especially Fusarium spp. Thereby, the product protects the root system, creating a foundation for healthy plant growth right from the beginning of the crop.
Vaniva® 450SC is classified as having dual effects and registered for both nematode and Fusarium fungus prevention. Thanks to early root system protection, the product helps plants absorb water and nutrients better, maintain stable growth and increase resistance to adverse conditions.
According to Syngenta, TYMIRIUM® technology will be applied to more than 100 crops in more than 60 countries, contributing to promoting productivity and sustainable agriculture.
The difference of Vaniva® 450SC also lies in the safety profile. The product is effective with the active ingredient dose being only 1/2–1/10 of some other solutions, helping to reduce impact on the environment and beneficial organisms, while supporting the maintenance of fertility and biodiversity of the soil.

Syngenta and WASI cooperate to promote crop protection and regenerative agriculture
Within the framework of the launch event, Syngenta Vietnam and the Central Highlands Agro-Forestry Science and Technology Institute (WASI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement a program to develop and transfer advanced solutions to protect durian, coffee, pepper, bananas and vegetables in the direction of regenerative agriculture.
The two sides will coordinate to implement sustainable farming models, train farmers on safe production and responsible use of pesticides, and organize professional seminars with the participation of experts, local authorities and the farming community. Syngenta is in charge of technical processes, materials and communication; WASI supports scientific expertise, selects locations and connects localities.
