There are only a few days left until the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20). At this time, the staff and teachers of Huong Lien Kindergarten (Huong Khe District) are busy decorating and beautifying the school to create an exciting atmosphere for the industry holiday.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nho (50 years old, resident of Huong Lien commune) has worked at Huong Lien Kindergarten for more than 10 years and shared: “This year, the atmosphere of Vietnamese Teachers' Day at my school is very happy and exciting. This is thanks to Lao Dong Newspaper, the Tam Long Vang Social and Cultural Fund and the People's Committee of Huong Khe district, who have just completed the construction of a new building for the school. Not only us teachers but also parents and local leaders are very happy when this very meaningful project has just been put into use.”
Ms. Tran Thi Tham (born in 1986, residing in Hamlet 3, Huong Lien Commune) whose child studies in a new building sponsored by the Golden Heart Social Support Fund is also very excited. Ms. Tham shared that before, her older child had to study in an old, dilapidated, leaky building, so she was not at ease because she was afraid of safety. Now her younger child can study in a new, spacious 2-storey building with full equipment and learning materials, she is very happy.
"We, the parents, are truly grateful to the Golden Heart Social Fund for sponsoring the construction of this meaningful and practical educational project," Ms. Tham shared.
Help improve the quality of education
Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Hoa - Principal of Huong Lien Kindergarten - said that the construction of the 2-storey, 4-room school building sponsored by the Tam Long Vang Social and Educational Fund and Lao Dong Newspaper, completed and put into use at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, is very timely. After 2 months of being put into use, the project has brought into full play its functions, helping teachers and students to teach and learn more conveniently, better, and more effectively.
“Recalling the long years ago, the old high school building was degraded and leaking without any funds to rebuild it, the school board and teachers were very worried and concerned. Fortunately, since the beginning of this year, the school has received funding from the Tam Long Vang Social and Cultural Fund and Lao Dong Newspaper to build this beautiful new 2-storey building to replace it.
From now on, the school is spacious, clean, and has full learning and playing equipment, so the school's staff and teachers vow to be dedicated, enthusiastic, and responsible in teaching to improve the quality of education, worthy of the trust and love of benefactors and the Golden Heart Social Fund for the school," Ms. Hoa said emotionally.
Mr. Phan Thanh Le - Vice Chairman of Huong Lien Commune People's Committee - informed that after a few months of being put into use, the 2-storey, 4-room school building sponsored by the Tam Long Vang Social and Cultural Fund has been performing well. It is truly a very practical and meaningful project in a difficult mountainous commune like Huong Lien.
“With the modern and spacious facilities, I believe that the quality of education in our mountainous commune will be increasingly improved from now on. Good learning conditions right from preschool level like this will be a good foundation for children to study and develop better in the future, reducing the gap compared to students in the plains and lowlands,” Mr. Le shared.
The 2-storey, 4-room school building of Huong Lien Kindergarten has a total investment of more than 4 billion VND. Of which, the Tam Long Vang Social and Cultural Fund sponsored 2.8 billion VND, and the People's Committee of Huong Khe district contributed 1.2 billion VND.
Construction began in early 2024 and was inaugurated and put into use on September 13, 2024.
At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, Director of the Golden Heart Social and Charity Fund - affirmed that this is not a big project but it is a deep sentiment of philanthropists and readers of Lao Dong Newspaper. That is the sentiment and deep concern of the provincial leaders and the Golden Heart Social and Charity Fund.
With this project, the Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper hopes that teachers and students will have better teaching and learning conditions and achieve even greater achievements.
Mr. Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee - also spoke, thanking Lao Dong Newspaper and the Golden Heart Social Fund for their interest and sponsorship of this extremely meaningful project for the mountainous commune of Huong Lien.
The project contributes to improving the quality of education in a mountainous commune of Ha Tinh province.
