Forms of supervisory activities of trade unions

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 5, Article 16 of the 2024 Trade Union Law (effective from July 1, 2025) stipulates that the supervision of Trade Unions is carried out in the following forms:

a) Research and review documents and reports of employers, agencies and organizations under supervision;

b) Through dialogues with employers, conferences of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in accordance with the provisions of law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level;

c) Through the activities of the People's Inspectorate at agencies, units, and state-owned enterprises;

d) Organize a monitoring team.

Thus, from July 1, 2025, when the trade union presides over supervision activities, it will be implemented through the above form.
