The occupational safety training course (OST) has the participation of 60 trainees who are union officials, union members, and workers working at enterprises in Binh Dinh province.
In the class, students are equipped with knowledge of legal regulations related to labor relations, measures to prevent occupational accidents, and skills to handle situations when incidents occur during the production process.
Labor safety is an important content in the labor and production process. Workers are often exposed to machinery and equipment, which poses a potential risk of causing work accidents or affecting their health. Training helps workers identify unsafe risks, raise awareness of prevention and proactively respond when situations occur.
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Ngoc (born in 1992) - warehouse manager of Hoang Vinh Garment Company Limited (Tuy Phuoc district) - said: "I have only been working for 2 months and was sent by the company to attend a training course to learn more knowledge about labor safety, then disseminate it to workers at the workshop. In the garment sector, unexpected labor incidents are likely to occur. I myself clearly understand the importance of ensuring occupational safety and health, so when I was sent to school, I was very excited to participate."
Mr. Ngo Van Danh - an employee of Phu Tai Joint Stock Company - Thang Loi Enterprise (Tuy Phuoc District) - said that he has fully participated in training courses organized by the Union and the enterprise for more than 9 years of work.
"In production, incidents and accidents can happen at any time. When I have basic knowledge about occupational safety and health, I will know how to protect myself and support my colleagues. I always try to absorb it to apply it to the reality of the unit," said Mr. Danh.
Speaking at the training course, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy - Permanent Vice President of the Binh Dinh Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that health and life are the most valuable assets of people, and are also a foundational factor for sustainable business development. Therefore, the work of ensuring labor safety has always been of interest to the Party, the State and all levels of the Trade Union and is regularly implemented.
"We organize this activity every year and constantly improve quality and content. The class aims to equip knowledge and skills for grassroots union officials, especially in enterprises - where the risk of occupational insecurity is always present," said Ms. Thuy.
Ms. Thuy suggested that the reporter focus on presenting concise, easy-to-understand content, close to reality and linked to specific situations in many different fields, making it easy for students to accept and apply.
