Principles and forms of Union supervision

Clause 4, 5, Article 16 of the Trade Union Law 2024 stipulates:

4. The Trade Union's supervisory activities towards employers, agencies and organizations related to the supervision content shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of this Law and other relevant laws and shall ensure the following principles:

a) Objective, public and transparent;

b) Originating from the legitimate demands and aspirations of union members and workers;

c) Not overlapping in content and time with other inspection, examination and monitoring activities; not hindering the normal operations of employers, agencies and organizations being monitored.

5. The Union's supervisory activities are carried out in the following forms:

a) Research and review documents and reports of employers, agencies and organizations under supervision;

b) Through dialogue with employers, conferences of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers according to the provisions of law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level;

c) Through the activities of the People's Inspectorate in state agencies, units and enterprises;

d) Organize a monitoring team.

Thus, the principles and forms of supervision by the Trade Union are stipulated as above.
