Trade union officials are given priority and bonus points when taking civil servant recruitment exams

Clause 1, Article 8, Decree 259/2026/ND-CP stipulating the recruitment, use and management of public employees (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the subjects and priority points in the competitive examination or admission as follows:

a) Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, wounded soldiers, people enjoying policies like wounded soldiers, wounded soldiers type B: Agreed 7.5 points to the results of round 2.

b) Ethnic minorities; army officers, professional soldiers demobilized; officers and non-commissioned officers of the People's Police demobilized; people working in cipher work transferred to other fields; students who graduated from reserve officer training, graduated from training of commanders of commune-level military commands in the grassroots military sector who were awarded the rank of reserve officer and registered for the rank of reserve officer; children of revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945, children of revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to the August Revolution of 1945, children of martyrs, children of wounded soldiers, children of sick soldiers, children of people enjoying policies like wounded soldiers, children of type B wounded soldiers, biological children of resistance activists infected with chemical toxins, children of People's Armed Forces Heroes, children of Labor Heroes: 5 points are added to the results of round 2.

c) People who have completed military service, the obligation to participate in the people's police; national defense workers and civil servants who quit their jobs while still of working age; youth volunteer members, young intellectuals who volunteer to work in national defense economic zones after completing their tasks of participating in the project: 2.5 points are added to the results of round 2.

d) Trade union officials who have grown up from the grassroots level, in the worker movement according to the regulations of competent authorities: 1.5 points are added to the results of round 2.

Thus, from July 1, 2026, trade union officials who have grown up from the grassroots level will be prioritized in the civil servant recruitment exam.
