Tuition fee collection mechanism in case of emergency

Clause 2, Article 12 of Decree 238/2025/ND-CP stipulates as follows: In case of an emergency situation as prescribed by law, tuition fees are collected according to the actual number of months of study (including the time for organizing online teaching or arranging make-up time at school); no tuition fees are collected during the period when no teaching is organized.

The tuition fee is based on the actual number of months of study and the necessary arising costs to organize teaching and learning but does not exceed the total tuition fee collection calculated according to the maximum number of months of 01 school year (maximum 9 months/year for preschool and general education institutions and maximum 10 months/year for higher education institutions and vocational training institutions), the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities shall submit to the People's Councils of the same level a specific decision on the support period and tuition support level for preschool and general education in the area; heads of universities and vocational education institutions shall prescribe the collection period and tuition fee levels in case of emergency.

Thus, in case of emergency, tuition fees are regulated as above.
