Who will the principal teach extra classes?

Clause 3, Article 6 of Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that extra teaching and learning (effective from February 14, 2025) stipulates extra teaching and learning outside the school, stipulates as follows: Teachers who are teaching at schools participating in extra teaching outside the school must report to the Principal or Director or head of the school (hereinafter referred to as Principal) about subjects, location, form, and time participating in extra teaching (according to Form No. 03 in the Appendix attached to this Circular).

Currently, Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training does not stipulate who the principal must report to if he/she teaches outside of school.

However, Clause 1, Article 6 of Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that organizations or individuals organizing extra teaching and learning activities outside the school that collects money from students (hereinafter referred to as extra teaching institutions) must comply with the following requirements:

a) Registering for business according to the provisions of law;

b) Publicly announce on the electronic information portal or post at the location of the tutoring facility the subjects that are taught extra; the duration of extra teaching for each subject by grade level; the location, form, and time of organizing extra teaching and learning; the list of tutors and the tuition fees before enrolling students in extra teaching and learning classes (according to Form No. 02 in the Appendix to this Circular).

Thus, when the principal teaches outside the school, he/she must register the business and must publicly announce on the electronic information portal or post at the place where the teaching facility is located the above contents.
