Formula for calculating scores and conditions for taking the exam
Admission scores (DXT) for grade 10 of non-professional public high schools in the 2025 - 2026 school year will be based on the total scores of the three exams along with priority points and incentive points (if any).
The specific formula is as follows:
dXT = Math exam score + Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Priority score (if any) + Encouragement score (if any)
The scores of each Literature, Math and Foreign Language exam are all scored on a 10-point scale. In particular, the odd points of the total score of the entire test will be rounded to two decimals, ensuring the most accuracy and fairness for each candidate.
To be considered for admission, candidates need to pay attention to the following mandatory conditions: must complete all exams organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, complete all three exams according to regulations (Literature, Math, Foreign Language).
In addition, candidates must not violate the exam regulations to the point of canceling the exam results and not have any exam score of 0.
Regulations on admission for 1, 2, 3 wishes
According to the regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, for public high schools, candidates who are admitted with the first wish will not be considered for admission with the second wish and the third wish.
Candidates who do not pass the 1st wish list will be considered for the 2nd wish list but must have an admission score at least 1.0 points higher than the school's 1st wish list.
Candidates who do not pass the 1st and 2nd wishes will be considered for the 3rd wishes but must have an admission score at least 2.0 points higher than the school's 1st wishes.
Previously, on May 13, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the number of candidates registered to enter grade 10 of each public high school in the 2025-2026 school year. The whole city of Hanoi has nearly 104,000 candidates registering for 1st place in 115 non-professional public schools.
