In the writing section, with the literary luan section, the exam continues to citate verses in the language section in the reading section, but is shorter and requires students to analyze through a short section, about 200 words.
The last question of the exam, which is also the question that candidates focus most time on writing, is the social argumentation question. From two verses in the daily poem by author Hoang Nhuan Cam, it asked for thought about choosing the ideal life of the young generation in today's era.
Evaluating the exam, Nguyen Phuong Nghi - a student at Thanh Cong Secondary School (Ba Dinh, Hanoi) - said that the exam is balanced and somewhat easy, so he did quite well and submitted the exam early. I took the entrance exam for the school's Literature major class.

This afternoon, candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to take the Math and English exam. Although admission scores are not included, candidates must achieve 4.0 points or more to be eligible.
The admission score is the total score for the General Literature exam multiplied by a coefficient of 1 and the professional exam with a coefficient of 2.
Candidates will take the professional exam (Literature, History, Geography) on the morning of May 25.
This year, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities received 2,037 entries, an increase of about 500 compared to last year. The Literature major class has the largest number of candidates with 1,191 students, followed by the History major with 484 students and the Geography major with 362 students.
The school enrolls 4 classes: 2 Literature classes, 1 History class and 1 Geography class, each class has 35 students. The highest difficulty rate belongs to the Literature major class, 1/17 (ie about 17 candidates have 1 passed), an increase compared to 1/13.3 last year. This figure for the History major is 1/14, while the Geography major is about 1/10.
