Korean audiences are hotly debating whether Blackpink's Rose's latest solo track "APT." will surpass aespa's latest hit, "Supernova," to win "Song of the Year"?
Both songs were well received by the public, topping many music charts.
aespa's "Supernova" is loved for its catchy chorus that makes many listeners sing along to the chorus "Su-su-su-supernova", while Rose captured the hearts of global listeners with "APT.".
"APT." was inspired by Rose's favorite Korean drinking game - "apateu" (apartment).
The song quickly became a hit in Korea and around the world, earning Rose her first Perfect All-Kill certification in her solo career, debuting at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, and many other achievements.
The popularity of "APT." also brought another song with the same name to the top of the Korean charts, "Apartment" by Yoon Soo Il. This song was released in 1982 and was considered a "national hit" at that time.
