The decision takes effect from the date of signing (January 12). It is known that the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area Management Board is a public non-business unit, directly under the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, established in Decision No. 689/QD-UBND dated May 24, 2019.
By April 12, 2024, this Board was handed over from Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee to Cao Bang Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for management. Thus, from its establishment in 2019 to January 12, 2026, the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area Management Board has gone through 3 managing agencies.
In 2024, Ban Gioc waterfall was named in the list of 21 most beautiful waterfalls in the world by the prestigious US travel magazine Travel+Leisure. Located on the Vietnam-China border, the waterfall is more than 60m high, of which the slope is 30m long.

Recently, on December 25, at a working session with Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, leaders of Sun Group presented ideas on building Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area.
With an area of about 1,000 hectares, Sun Group is inspired by the "Ancient Vietnamese Legend" about King Tay. The project is located in Dam Thuy commune, with the goal of sustainable development, combining experiential tourism, community culture and cross-border exchange.
This group also plans to attract about 1.5 million visitors per year immediately after the expressway is expanded. This number may reach 4 million visitors after 5 years of project implementation, creating a strong breakthrough for Cao Bang's socio-economy.
