On June 11, 2025, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize a National Scientific Conference with the theme "Women with 100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism".

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union - shared that, going back in the history of the country's press, from the first newspapers such as Nu Gioi Chung (in 1919) written by Ms. Suong Nguyet Anh - to The Call for Women (in 1945), Vietnamese Women (1998)... women's press has always accompanied, reflected, led and encouraged the cause of liberation and development of Vietnamese women through each historical period.
"For a century, the team of female journalists and female journalism has not only fulfilled the glorious mission of revolutionary journalism, but has also become a special media force in protecting the legitimate and legal rights of women, promoting gender equality and inspiring society on women's progress.
Journalists holding pens - guns, female journalists on the front lines or on the front lines of peacetime media, have been and are important witnesses and subjects of revolutionary journalism and sustainable development" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen emphasized.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen added that today, due to the requirements of a professional, modern and humane press, it is very necessary to research and evaluate the role of journalism from a gender perspective.
"Entering the new era with the strong digital transformation process, female journalists and female journalism are facing many opportunities and challenges, requiring courage, professionalism and the desire for constant innovation" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen commented.
Regarding the importance of women's journalism, journalist Tran Thi Kim Hoa - former Director of the Vietnam Press Museum, Permanent Advisory Council of the Vietnam Press Museum - assessed that women's journalism is an important part of Vietnamese journalism.
