On the evening of December 12, at Pathe Palace Theater, Paris, the closing ceremony of the Week of "Vietnam Cinema - Light Journey" (Vietnam cinema - Itineraire de Lumiere) took place solemnly and emotionally, with the highlight being the premiere of the film "Red Rain". The event ended a vibrant week, attracting a large number of artists, filmmakers, French - European partners and thousands of international audiences.
The week is co-organized by the Vietnam Cinema Development Promotion Association (VFDA) and AVSE Global, under the sponsorship of the Vietnamese Embassy in France. The closing ceremony was attended by Ms. Pham Thi Kim Yen - Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in France; Professor. Nguyen Duc Khuong - Executive Director of EMLV School (France), President of AVSE Global; and many prestigious artists and directors from Vietnam and France. The film crew of "Red Rain" features director Dang Thai Huyen, actors Do Nhat Hoang, Le Ha Anh and special guest Laure Cazeneuve - Director of the Jury and External Affairs of the Cannes Film Festival.
The premiere of the movie "Red Rain" left a deep impression when the work that set a box office record in Vietnam was introduced to European audiences. The film shows the clear progress of Vietnamese cinema with modern storytelling, emotional visual language.
Despite its very Vietnamese story, "Red Rain" still touches the hearts of international audiences through popular topics such as war, loss, love, hope and revival.

Sharing after the screening, director Dang Thai Huyen emotionally said that what the film recreates about the 81 days and nights of the ancient citadel of Quang Tri is only a very small part compared to the harsh reality of war. The female director expressed her gratitude for the sympathy, applause and tears of the audience from Vietnam to Paris.
Many international opinions highly appreciate the artistic value and peaceful message of the film. Sociologist and director Ache Ahmat Moustapha believes that "Red Rain" leaves a strong impression because of the spirit of reconciliation and bravery of the Vietnamese army. Meanwhile, Prof. Alain-Cyril Barioz (Paris) especially emphasized the image of a symbolic end, evoking depth reflection on the history, people and country of Vietnam.

The warm welcome for "Red Rain" not only ended Vietnam Cinema Week in Paris with a beautiful mark, but also affirmed the ability of Vietnamese cinema to tell its own stories, while strongly spreading to international friends.
