Speaking at the recent meeting program "Shopping not accompanying Da Nang Tourism 2025", Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee said that in 2025, Da Nang tourism industry witnessed a strong recovery in both the international and domestic markets. The number of overnight guests reached about 17.8 million, many international routes were restored and newly opened, and the quality of services was increasingly improved.

These results have a very important contribution from the aviation industry - a force that has closely accompanied Da Nang tourism over the past time, playing a key role in connecting the city with domestic and international markets, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, the city especially appreciates the contributions of airport management agencies, aviation security forces, border police, customs, quarantine, and ground service units and flight operations at Da Nang International Airport and Chu Lai Airport. These are the "first touches", creating an initial impression on tourists when coming to Da Nang.
In addition, the city's leaders also acknowledged the role of international airlines in expanding the connecting network, bringing millions of tourists, investors and partners to Da Nang, thereby contributing to promoting socio-economic development and raising the city's position on the regional map.

According to the plan, in 2026, Da Nang aims to welcome 19.1 million overnight guests, an increase of 10.5% compared to 2025.
Of which, international visitors are estimated to reach 8.7 million (up 13.7%), domestic visitors reach 10.4 million (up 8%). Total revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel is expected to be nearly 70 trillion VND - an increase of more than 15%.
In the coming direction, Da Nang hopes to continue to receive close cooperation, support and innovation from airline partners, through the opening of new routes, increasing the frequency of operations, improving service quality and promoting key international markets.
Notably, the city is proposing to implement an investment and exploitation project for Chu Lai Airport in conjunction with the airport's economic and urban ecosystem under the public-private partnership (PPP) method, with a total estimated investment capital of about 10 billion USD. The project is expected to become a new driving force for aviation, logistics connectivity and economic development in the Central region.

Developing Chu Lai Airport according to the airport urban model will not only expand aviation infrastructure capacity, but also create a space for modern economic and urban development, increase competitiveness and regional connectivity, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi shared.
Within the framework of the program, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2026-2030 with Da Nang International Airport, Chu Lai Airport and Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Exploitation Joint Stock Company. The cooperation focuses on promoting new opening and maintaining the flight network, promoting destinations, sharing market information and enhancing the experience of tourists.
The leaders of the People's Committee of Da Nang City expressed their confidence that with the strong connection between aviation and tourism, the city will continue to create strong development steps, aiming to become a safe, attractive and high-quality destination in the region and the world.
