At the beginning of the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Uyen Trang - Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province - reported a summary of the process of preparing documents to propose the Prime Minister to rank Nguyen Sinh Sac as a special national monument of the Phong Bo Tomb. On January 18, 2025, Dong Thap province started the project to restore, embellish and promote the value of the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site with a total amount of 172.729 billion VND from the budget and other legally mobilized capital. At the same time, the province has implemented the work of reviewing the structure of the relic, collecting historical documents, etc. to build a scientific dossier to submit to the Prime Minister for classification as a special national relic. On September 11, 2025, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh signed Decision No. 1959/QD-TTg to rank Nguyen Sinh Sac as a special national monument.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, affirmed: The Prime Minister's decision to rank the relic of the Mausoleum of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac as a special national relic not only affirms the historical and cultural value of the relic, but is also a premise for Dong Thap to foster the tradition of patriotism, foster personality for the younger generation, develop cultural tourism and spread the image of a loving and imbued with identity of Dong Thap - Dat Sen.
Not only a relic, the heritage of Mr. Pho Bang also has profound human values. The spirit of studiousness, patriotism, and an honest and simple lifestyle are still being inherited and continued. To promote the cultural and historical values of national relics especially in the new context, Mr. Ngai suggested that agencies, units and localities focus on educating about the example of Mr. Pho Bang who devoted his life to the country, the people, the noble personality... and closely promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style creatively and substantially... so that the values of Mr. Pho Bang and Mr. Ho become a source of positive energy spreading in social life.
After solemnly receiving the Certificate of Recognition of a Special National Monument, the delegation held the inauguration ceremony of the project "Restoration, embellishment and promotion of the value of the Relic Site of Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac, offering incense to the Tomb and Temple of Mr. Pho Bang. In particular, performing the ceremony of planting the Van nien tang tree presented by General Secretary To Lam on the occasion of receiving the Certificate of recognition as a special national monument of the Mausoleum of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac.
It is known that the relic site of the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh Nguyen Sinh Sac (1862-1929) - the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh - was started on August 22, 1975 and inaugurated on February 13, 1977. On May 19, 1990, on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, Dong Thap started the construction of the Uncle Ho and Ao Sen stilt houses model and recreated the old Hoa An Village with an area of 22,000m2.
On April 9, 1992, it was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information. Currently, the relic site consists of 4 subdivisions: Tomb, temple, exhibition house of the life and career of Mr. Pho Bang, Exhibition house of the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh; Uncle Ho stilt house area and fish pond garden; Cultural space of old Hoa An Village and area for folk games and entertainment, with a total area of nearly 9 hectares.
