Before that, Truong Ngoc Anh was busy with the international film project Dragonfly, collaborating with filmmakers from the US.
This project was initially expected to bring the audience a quality work with depth in emotions and open up a new direction of cooperation between Vietnamese and international cinema.
According to information shared by the crew earlier, Dragonfly is directed by director Jordan Schulz - who has participated in the production and post-production of many famous works such as Now You See Me 2, Power Rangers, patriots Day or Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men No tell Tales.
The project also has the support of two famous executive producers, Sir Daniel K. Winn and Randall J. Slavin (WS Productions - USA), along with producers Eamon Fay and Tien Pham.

Truong Ngoc Anh's company was selected as a production partner in Vietnam, responsible for organizing pre-production activities such as behind-the-scenes surveys, costume designs, actor selection and logistics preparation for the film crew. During his working trip in early 2025, director Jordan Schulz and his crew went to Ho Chi Minh City to work and select actors for a number of important roles.
Truong Ngoc Anh once shared: "This is an interesting and challenging project, but I believe that with the efforts, passion and talent of the entire crew, we will bring a film that deserves to be released in the US, Vietnam and many other countries".
Sir Daniel K. Winn - a Vietnamese-American executive producer, shared that he was delighted to return to Vietnam, where he was born, to carry out a meaningful film project. He also hopes that after Dragonfly is completed, the film crew will continue to have humanitarian activities associated with Vietnamese audiences.
Dragonfly project marks the return to the screen after many years of Truong Ngoc Anh, since she participated in the production of the film "Beauty of a Thousand Weights". During her temporary departure from the set, the actress focused on developing entertainment companies, organizing beauty pageants, but still maintained her connection with cinema through her role as a judge at domestic and international film festivals.
With Dragonfly, Truong Ngoc Anh is ambitious to prove her position as an international producer. However, before this project was completed, the actress was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Ho Chi Minh City authorities to investigate the act of "abuse of trust to appropriate property" related to the activities of the company she runs.
Currently, this project is still unfinished and with the current situation of Truong Ngoc Anh, it is very likely that the Dragonfly film crew will temporarily stop making this film.
