Recently, famous magazine JoyNews24 conducted a survey to vote for the most powerful stars in Korea in 2025. The survey was conducted from October 13-19, with the participation of 110 experts in the entertainment industry, including employees of entertainment and broadcasting companies, film and content producers, and journalists.
According to JoyNews24, Korean culture is at its peak with the explosion of K-pop, K-drama, K-beauty, K-movie and even Korean variety shows. In particular, the Kpop music industry is still leading the development of Korean culture.
The 3 characters voted as the most powerful stars of 2025 are all from the music industry, with each person having 11 votes.
Chairman and producer of JYP Entertainment, Park Jin Young, topped the list.
He debuted in 1994 and achieved success as a singer ( stage name J.Y. Park), then became the founder and Chairman of entertainment company JYP Entertainment (in 1997), training many famous artists and groups such as G.o.d, Bi Rain, Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM, Twice, Stray Kids.

In September this year, Park Jin Young was appointed co-chair of the Mass Cultural Exchange Committee, directly under the presidency, to promote Korean culture abroad.
Recently, Park Jin Young had an interview with Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the national bird's nest held in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, discussing the performances of Korean singers in Beijing. This raises expectations that the Korean cultural restrictions in China from 2016 will be lifted.
The first-place character with Park Jin Young also has male singer G-Dragon. The media assessed that the Big Bang leader had an extremely successful year with a solo comeback after 11 years, through the studio album "Übermancy" released in February 2025.

At the end of October, G-Dragon was honored to be on the list of 6 individuals awarded the Korean Cultural Medal - the most noble title, recognizing his great contribution to the development of the cultural, popular arts and Hallyu wave industries.
Recently, G-Dragon was appointed as the Ambassador to promote the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, the only K-pop artist to perform at a reception for leaders of 21 APEC member countries on the evening of October 31.
The third person to be ranked in the top most powerful stars in Korea in 2025 is BTS.

HYBE Group's music group took a 3-year hiatus from group activities because the members had to enlist in the army, but their influence was immediately affirmed as soon as all 7 members completed their military service in June this year.
BTS's top spot with Park Jin Young and G-Dragon shows the entertainment industry's high expectations for the future activities of this famous Kpop group.
HYBE's stock price has skyrocketed by 9% after news of BTS's comeback, including a world tour with a total of 65 shows and an expected revenue of over 1.2 trillion won.
