An Giang - Venerable Chau Son Hy successfully collected hundreds of agricultural tools and established a miniature museum with the desire to inspire a kind life for young people.
At Sa Lanh Pagoda, O Lam Commune, An Giang Province, there is an area that gathers hundreds of ancient agricultural tools of the Khmer people in the That Son region. This is the result of the tireless and hard-working collection of Venerable Chau Son Hysin (born in 1962) - founder (rector) of Sa Du Pagoda with the desire to inspire the fire of good living for young people.
The Khmer people in That Son An Giang province make a living by farming. However, with the special conditions of the mountainous and border area, agricultural life here has many unique features compared to the general level in the province and the Mekong Delta. Thereby forming very specific agricultural tools. However, with the development of society, many handicraft activities have given way to Mechanization.
Accordingly, ancient farming tools also stood on the edge of the apricot trees. As a son of his hometown That Son, sympathizing with this risk, Venerable Chau Son Hy has worked hard to collect. With hundreds of artifacts, most of which are used, the reader hopes to preserve items related to sweat and the efforts of previous generations to inspire today's generation and future generations to live decently and responsibly with themselves. From there, live responsibly with relatives, family and society.
In addition to fishing gear, most of the artifacts here stretch out and cover the entire life cycle of rice plants, the main agricultural production of the Khmer people in the That Son region.
