For the first time in Moscow, there is a Vietnam Cultural Festival
The "Vietnam - Tropical Colors" Festival is a continuation of a series of international events within the framework of the large-scale project "Summer in Moscow" of the Russian Federation. The festival is chaired by the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Moscow City Government, within the framework of a series of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The festival has three main areas: The culinary area always has a long line of people waiting patiently for their turn; the art performance area interspersed with a booth of he-tsui and Dong Ho paintings; the photo exhibition area and introduction, promotion of handicraft products and souvenirs. The festival also has a cool green bamboo forest, an artificial waterfall that helps "relieve the heat" of visitors during hot summer days.
Within the framework of the festival, visitors can also enjoy traditional music performances of the People's Police Music and Dance and water puppet performances by artists of the Vietnam puppetry Theater with the theme "Ao Dai Ban Tropical".
Young tourists explore Vietnamese culture
The Vietnam Cultural Festival especially attracts many young visitors. "Oh my, we also have banana trees that look like Vietnamese bananas. So Vietnam and Ecuador are a little similar!, the young Ecuadoran - Camila Ramos, currently studying in Russia, could not hide her excitement at seeing the banana bushes in the festival area.
First time directly exposed to Vietnamese culture, at the festival, Camila Ramos was especially excited to visit souvenir stalls such as making tofu and selling Vietnamese water puppetry. When experiencing the bamboo stickers placed on the fingers in a balanced way, Camila was surprised and kept asking how they couldn't fall off her fingers. After trying delicious fried foods with Vietnamese flavor, you immediately bought a few more to satisfy your... cravings.
I used to know about Vietnam through dishes introduced by a Vietnamese friend, but through this experience at the Festival, as well as meeting Vietnamese friends at booths, I found Vietnam as a close land and the people are very friendly and harmonious. Of course, Vietnam still has a lot to explore, but today's festival has given me a comprehensive look at the country and people of Vietnam. I hope to have the opportunity to visit Vietnam in the near future, not just to enjoy the dish" - Camila shared with a smile.
Yakusk Daiaana Osipova enjoys banh mi, a famous Vietnamese street food, constantly praising the flavor of banh mi. Daiaana shared that you come to the festival to enjoy Vietnamese banh mi.
I have heard about Vietnamese banh mi for a long time, I wish I could try it once. But it is difficult to find a place to sell banh mi in Moscow because beef stew or fried spring rolls are more popular here. But it was a great joy to finally enjoy Vietnamese noodle soup, right in the center of Moscow. My banh mi is very fragrant and creamy, it will make me feel full! - Daiaana happily laughed.
Daiaana also especially likes the photo exhibition "Vietnam - Land and People". Looking at the photos of the beaches, Daiaana was surprised by the photo of the Bay Luong stone beach in Binh Thuan. Daiaana recognized the stones with different colors.
Throughout the 75-year journey of diplomatic relations, culture has always been a beautiful bridge connecting the people of Vietnam and the Russian Federation. The Vietnam - Tropical Colors Cultural Festival is a great opportunity for young Russian and international tourists to exchange culture and learn more about the country and people of Vietnam right in the heart of Russia - Moscow.
