On the evening of July 16, at 19/8 Square, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee organized a special art program to celebrate the 2026 Lao Cai Provincial Investment Promotion Conference with the theme "Lao Cai - A place of convergence of Northwest colors".
The program was attended by leaders of ministries, departments, and central agencies; Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Federation; leaders of Lao Cai province and friendly provinces; international delegates, representatives of international organizations, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Indian business associations in Vietnam.
Also participating in the program were investors, corporations, businesses at home and abroad, along with a large number of officials, party members, civil servants, public employees, laborers, armed forces soldiers and people of ethnic groups in Lao Cai province.
Opening the program was a provincial-level centralized flag salute ceremony. In a solemn atmosphere, thousands of delegates, officials, soldiers and people turned to the national flag, expressing patriotism, national pride and aspiration to build an increasingly developed homeland of Lao Cai.
Immediately after that, delegates and people joined in the magnificent art space of the special art program "Lao Cai - Where the colors of the Northwest converge".
elaborately staged with the participation of more than 800 artisans, professional and amateur actors from the Provincial Center for Culture, Arts and Sports; mass art troupes and folk cultural clubs of communes and wards in the area..., the program not only brings a unique art night but also vividly introduces typical cultural values, tourism potential and development aspirations of the land at the Northwest of the Fatherland.
The program consists of three chapters. Chapter I - "Colors of the Northwest" opens with the singing and dancing performance "Northwest entering the festival", opening up a majestic and unique natural picture - a place that converges the unique cultural values of more than 30 ethnic groups living together.
In Chapter II - "Connecting Heritage" with performances such as Muong folk dance; Xa Pho folk dance; Hat Van and Hau Dong dance introducing spiritual cultural space associated with the sacred temple system; affirming the depth of traditional culture of Lao Cai land.
The final chapter "Spreading the Future" brings fresh colors with the aspiration for integration and development of the province in the new period. Every step of Lao Cai today shares a common beat, a will to rise up with the whole country.
Closing the program was a brilliant fireworks display and a solidarity flapper in the melody of "Loving Dance". Here, artists, actors, delegates and a large audience joined in the beat.
On the same evening, Yen Bai Ward People's Committee organized the Launching Ceremony of the Pedestrian Street in the area of 19/8 Square with the goal of building a community living space, entertainment, cultural exchange and promoting the unique values of the locality.
Right on the opening night, people and tourists experienced many unique cultural and artistic activities such as music and dance performances, modern dances, folk instrument performances; bamboo dance, dance and community art activities.
On the afternoon of July 16, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Lao Dong Newspaper to organize a seminar "Promoting, promoting and attracting investment in tourism development in Lao Cai - A place where the colors of the Northwest converge".
This is an activity within the framework of the Lao Cai Provincial Investment Promotion Conference 2026, aiming to create an open exchange forum between the Lao Cai provincial government and experts, businesses, and investors in the field of tourism development.
