The 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV) continues to introduce the program "Panorama of Asian Cinema" - one of the key activities of the festival, gathering many outstanding works and new voices of regional cinema.
After three seasons of organization, DANAFF has expanded its cooperation network with many film festivals, film organizations, producers, distributors and international filmmakers. Thanks to that, the number of high-quality films sent to DANAFF IV has increased significantly, in which many works have chosen DANAFF as the first international screening venue.
The program also recorded new discoveries in approaching historical, social and human issues, notably the trend of dialogue with history through personal lens.
Selected from works that have participated in or won awards at many prestigious film festivals such as Cannes, Busan, Rotterdam, Golden Horse, Moscow or Tokyo, the program contributes to outlining the face of contemporary Asian cinema, while opening up a space for dialogue between cultures and global issues.
This year, the program introduces a series of works from many countries and territories such as Myanmar, South Korea, Hong Kong (China), Malaysia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Iran, China, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Singapore and India. Among them, many films are screened worldwide, internationally or Asianly for the first time at DANAFF IV.
In addition to new works, the program also introduces many films that have won important awards at international film festivals, reflecting diverse topics from war, history, memories, family, women's fate to contemporary social upheavals.
Notable are "Địa đạo: Mặt trời trong bóng tối" by director Bui Thac Chuyen, "Ma lành" - a Grand Prize-winning work at the Cannes Critics Week 2025, or "Palestine 1936" - a Tokyo Grand Prix-winning film at the Tokyo International Film Festival 2026.
The program's screenings will take place from June 28 to July 4, 2026 at CGV Vinh Trung and Galaxy Coopmart (Da Nang).
