Honoring the image of the People's Public Security
In August, the Ministry of Public Security organized 8 art programs; organized two awards ceremonies: "Outstanding Police Women" and "Excellent Provided- slated Police Women" in 2024... At Ho Guom Theater, there were also many activities and art programs of the State, the Ministry of Public Security and departments, ministries and branches to celebrate major holidays and important events of the country, departments, ministries and branches.
It can be mentioned that the special art program "The Legend of the Vietnam People's Public Security" held at the Hanoi Opera House, "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" at the Ho Guom Theater left a strong impression. In addition, the 2025 World Police Music Festival in Vietnam is also a key event, an opportunity to promote the image of the people of Vietnam to international friends, demonstrating the policy of Vietnam being ready to be a friend, a trusted partner, and a responsible member of the international community.
In the film industry, the People's Public Security Cinema cooperated with production units of the film "Death in the air" on the occasion of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day. The work is inspired by two real plane robberies in Vietnam that took place in 1977 and 1978, gathering a cast of talented actors such as Thai Hoa, Kaity Nguyen, Thanh Son...
The People's Police Theater organizes the People's Public Security Drama Week in 2025, in which the play "The Third Person" is a highlight. The work was artistically directed by Colonel, People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thuy Hien - Director of the People's Police Theater. Director, People's Artist Le Hung staged the film based on the script by author Nguyen Minh Anh, creating a work depicting the silent sacrifice of the People's Public Security force, artists and intellectuals of Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation and national reunification.
Quarrying the image of the People's Public Security on the stage
This year, the People's Police Drama Week is a special cultural activity, with the participation of prestigious artistic units, bringing works with profound content and high artistic value. The event contributes to honoring the image of police officers through stage art.
Referring to the mark of the People's Police Theater, over the past 4 decades, generations of artists and actors have successfully staged many drama programs on the theme of security, order and social topics; praised good people and good deeds; criticized bad habits and bad deeds in social life... These include works such as "The List of Spiepers", "Scarlet Gold" or "The Decision of Life and Death", "The Race in the Dark" ... which were highly appreciated by experts and well received by the audience.
Sharing with reporters and colonels, People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thuy Hien said that through many historical periods, the image of the People's Public Security soldier on the stage has had clear changes. If in the past, plays often focused on feats, achievements and political points, today, that image is portrayed more inorganically, closer to life, deepening into the inner thoughts, circumstances, conflicts and challenges of the characters.
People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thuy Hien emphasized: "In contemporary society, the artists of the People's Public Security Theater always aim to build the image of a People's Public Security soldier with core qualities. First is political quality, considered the foundation, demonstrating absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, the revolutionary cause of the nation and protecting the interests of the people. The image of a police officer on stage always has strong political will, steadfast in his stance and point of view, and is not waver in the face of difficulties and challenges. Strictly comply with discipline, comply with the laws and regulations of the industry, and have a high sense of organization.
Second is moral qualities. Police officers must have pure revolutionary ethics, a healthy and simple lifestyle; always maintain moral qualities, a clean lifestyle, not fall into material temptations, maintain simplicity and modesty in daily life. Be cautious, honest, just, impartial, selfless, dedicated to work, thrift, no corruption, negativity, fairness, objectivity in handling work. Third is the quality of ability. In the current era, police officers must be proficient in using digital tools and equipment, exploiting data, information security, and serving their work".
Through the content of the works and acting talents of the artists, the actors have seen the silent sacrifice in the uncompromising struggle against crime to protect the peaceful and happy life of the people; building an emotional and aesthetic artistic image of the police officer "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people".
