From early morning, the relic site was bustling with people coming to pray for peace, fortune, and health for the new year.
For the people of Nha Trang coastal city, spring travel at Ponagar Tower is not only a familiar spiritual activity but also a cultural beauty that has been maintained through many generations.
The sacred space on Cu Lao hill in the early spring days is even more bustling with cultural experience activities.
Visitors can participate in calligraphy writing, lithography, brocade weaving, pottery making; enjoy the graceful Cham folk songs in the sound of Ginăng drums, Baranưng drums and Saranai paghinang trumpets.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hanh (Nha Trang ward) said that every year her family chooses Ba Ponagar Tower as the first destination on the 1st day of Tet.
Going spring travel to Thap Ba has become a habit of my family. Every time I step onto the stone steps, listening to the sound of bells and the spreading scent of agarwood, I feel my heart calm down, all the busyness of the old year seems to be put aside.
Coming here at the beginning of the year to offer incense and pray for peace for my family is what makes me feel more secure and confident in a favorable new year," Ms. Hanh shared.
According to her, not only is it a place to send wishes, Ponagar Tower also helps the younger generation understand more about the history and culture of the land they are living in.
I often tell my children about the Ponagar goddess, about the Vietnamese-Cham cultural intersection. The children can both play and learn more good things. The spring atmosphere here is very special, crowded but not chaotic, everyone remains respectful," she said.
Not only is it a religious destination for local people and Cham people, Ponagar Tower has long become a unique tourism product of Khanh Hoa, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
Every year, the relic welcomes tens of thousands of visitors to learn about its historical, architectural and religious values.
One of the unique values of the relic is the unique construction techniques and brick making methods of the Cham people.
To date, many issues related to tower construction techniques have not been fully answered. At the relic, there are still many valuable steles, erected from feudal times to record history and contributions related to the project.
Initially, Ponagar Tower was built by the Cham people to worship the goddess Ponagar.
From 1653, the process of cohabitation between Vietnamese and Cham people has promoted the intersection of beliefs, forming and strongly developing the belief in worshiping Mother of the Land of Cham people in harmony with the belief in worshiping Thien Y A Na Thanh Mau of Vietnamese people.
Every year, from March 20th to 23rd of the lunar calendar, the Ponagar Tower Festival - a national intangible cultural heritage - takes place here, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.
On the first day of the new year, amidst the crowd respectfully offering incense, Ponagar Tower continues to affirm its role as a spiritual support, and also a unique cultural tourism product of Khanh Hoa.
