On May 25, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province announced that it has a plan to implement cooperation activities between the province and Lao localities in 2025, in order to continue to concretize the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State on foreign affairs.
The plan aims to strengthen friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Lao localities, while effectively implementing the results of the 47th session of the Vietnam - Laos Intergovernmental Committee.
This is also a step to concretize cooperation documents between Khanh Hoa with attapeu province and Champasak province (phase 2022 - 2026), Cooperation Minutes with Vientiane Capital (phase 2024 - 2028).
The plan requires strengthening coordination between agencies, units and localities in the province, thereby contributing to promoting socio-economic development and expanding international cooperation.
In addition, the province also focuses on promoting cultural and sports exchanges, enhancing solidarity and friendship between the people of Khanh Hoa and the people of Laos; creating favorable conditions for Lao people living and working in Khanh Hoa.
To implement this plan, Khanh Hoa province requires ensuring the leadership of the Party and management of the State in foreign affairs with Lao localities in the province.
Maintain and expand peace, solidarity and friendship activities with the Lao people; consolidate and enhance cooperation activities of agencies and units in the province.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial People's Committee Office as the unit to preside over, monitor, urge and summarize the situation, and report the results of the plan implementation. Relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities are required to closely coordinate to deploy international cooperation with Laos, effectively carry out bilateral foreign tasks in accordance with the contents of the plan and instructions of competent authorities.
