The Vietnam Center for the Conservation of Traditional Performing Arts (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a social organization operating in the field of cultural and artistic activities, organizing scientific research, aiming to promote cultural and artistic activities according to the needs of society.
The center was established by the Association for the Protection of the Rights of Performing Arts of Vietnam (APPA) to contribute to the preservation, promotion and dissemination of the values of traditional arts.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, People's Artist Thanh Hoa - President of APPA - said: "Culture needs to be spread everywhere, right from schools, so that the younger generation understands where the cultural origin is. I hope to be able to promote to international friends about Vietnam's cultural heritage, so that young people can love the folk heritage of the nation more. The center was born, I and artists in many fields only hope that people can understand, love, spread, and preserve traditional arts of thousands of years".

In the leadership structure, People's Artist Thanh Ngoan was appointed as Director. In addition, 4 Deputy Directors include: Mr. Pham Gia Hau - Chairman of the Vietnam Cultural and Arts Association in the Czech Republic, Head of the Department of Culture and Arts, the Vietnam Association of European People's Unions; Dr. Vu Thi Thanh Tam - Deputy Head of the Personnel Organization Board, Voice of Vietnam; Mr. Pham Dinh Thuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Saitama Province (Japan) and composer Mai Van Lang - Head of the Department of Traditional folk songs and music - Voice of Vietnam.
Talking with Lao Dong, People's Artist Thanh Ngoan shared that in the coming time, the center will cooperate with social organizations, academies, schools, domestic and international training units to carry out education, training, and organize performing science research to inherit, preserve and promote the precious traditional arts of our ancestors, especially the art forms that have been honored by UNESCO.
In addition, training and professional guidance will also be promoted through training sessions, mobile propaganda, exhibitions, clubs, and interest groups. From there, build and implement model activities in the field of traditional cultural and artistic activities; exploit, collect, restore, preserve and promote intangible cultural values in the community.
The center also has the help of researchers and cultural experts to organize forums, conferences, seminars, short-term training courses, and provide human resources consulting in cultural tourism activities.
