After a period of focusing on personal activities, Huong Tram officially returned to the music race with the MV "Gái Nghệ", released on the evening of July 1.
This is not only Huong Tram's reappearance but also marks a new direction when she for the first time brings many indigenous cultural features of Nghe land into her music products.
Gai Nghe" is composed by Ho Hoai Anh, lyrics written by Ha Quang Minh, combining folk materials with pop, electro and rock to create a modern color while still maintaining the traditional spirit of Vi and Giam.
Immediately after its release, Huong Tram's MV "Gai Nghe" was quickly put on the scale by the audience to compare with Hoa Minzy's "Bac Bling".
The common point easily noticeable in both products is that they both take homeland as the main inspiration, integrating music with the cultural values, people and typical landscapes of the land where the two female singers were born.
However, each MV chooses its own way of storytelling and color.
The MV "Bac Bling" depicts Bac Ninh as a brilliant and traditional cultural picture, Hoa Minzy skillfully led the audience to explore a series of famous landmarks of Kinh Bac land.
From the majesty of Den Do, the ancient beauty of Dau Pagoda - the oldest pagoda in Vietnam, to Ba Chua Kho Temple associated with folk beliefs, all are proudly recreated.

In addition, the MV also honors the unique cultural symbols of Bac Ninh such as the Quan Ho Folk Song Theater in Diem village, Dong Ho painting village, Phu Lang pottery village or the traditional wrestling festival in Huu Chap village, contributing to spreading the cultural and tourist beauty of the homeland to a large audience.
While "Bac Bling" recreates famous cultural symbols and scenic spots of Bac Ninh, Huong Tram chooses a more close and modern storytelling style in "Gai Nghe".
The female singer brings everyday scenes of her homeland into the MV, from Cua Lo fish market, coastal roads to familiar street corners, turning everything into everyday stories, with a close rhythm of life.

Huong Tram also included in the MV many images associated with the memories of Nghe people such as flower mats, plastic tablecloths, plastic chairs in weddings or collective yards.
The female singer also wore a shirt that reminded the audience of the jersey of Song Lam Nghe An team in the MV. However, this detail is causing controversy in the football fan community, when many viewers believe that the female singer wore the wrong jersey.
Sharing about exploiting folk cultural material in music, Huong Tram admitted that she came later than many other artists.
However, the female singer does not see it as a disadvantage but considers herself to be the one who continues the cultural values that have been preserved by previous generations, including what her father pursued for many years.
Her father - artist Tien Dung also had a supporting appearance in the MV "Gái Nghệ".
