On February 26, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong received a delegation representing the Organizing Committee of EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Within the framework of the event, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the official logo of the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 and a cooperation agreement on promoting and introducing the potential of Vietnamese localities at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Attending the event on the Vietnamese side were Associate Professor. Dr. Ta Quang Dong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Hoa - General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. On the Japanese side, there were Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam, Mr. Arai Yohei - Deputy Director in charge of Promotion and Public Relations, Global Communications Department, Japan Association for the 2025 World Exhibition. In particular, for the first time, Myaku-Myaku, a mascot of EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, is officially introduced in Vietnam.

The World EXPO is one of the three largest global events in the world (along with the World Cup and the Olympic Games), attracting most countries to participate at the State level. EXPO World Exhibition 2025 Osaka, Kansai will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025 in Osaka, Japan with the participation of more than 150 countries and international organizations. With the theme "Social design for the future of our lives", EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai hopes to attract 28 million domestic and international visitors.
On this occasion, the Department of International Cooperation - the unit assigned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to deploy and operate the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, announced the official logo of the Vietnam Exhibition House.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Hoa - General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025, Director of the Department of International Cooperation said that the logo of the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 is a celebration of Vietnamese cultural identity combined with inspiration from the Myaku-Myaku mascot, expressing the intersection between tradition, modernity and the future, praising the friendship between Vietnam and Japan, and at the same time, Vietnam's desire for a sustainable, inclusive, international integration with people at the center.
The logo impresses with the image of a charming Vietnamese girl in a white ao dai, wearing a traditional conical hat and holding a pink lotus net in her hand - symbolizing the noble Vietnamese soul and intelligence, always appreciating traditional values and constantly striving to rise up. The colorful clouds in the logo are inspired by the cloud motifs in Hang Trong folk paintings - expressing the connection between the past and the present, heritage and creativity... According to Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa, the logo also carries the strong elements of Vietnam - Japan cultural exchange. The large circle behind symbolizes the Earth and evokes the image of Japan - the "land of the rising sun", while also demonstrating integration, connection with the world, towards sustainable development. The main green and red colors in the logo are inspired by the mascot Myaku-Myaku - the mascot of EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
