Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize the Sen Village Festival in 2025 and inaugurate the statue "Uncle Ho returns to visit his hometown", to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025).
The organization of the Sen Village Festival aims to express the people's gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh, the Hero of National Liberation, and the Outstanding Cultural Celebrity.
Through the activities of the Sen Village Festival, continue to propagate and educate Ho Chi Minh's ideology; promote the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; promote the image of Nghe An to the whole country and internationally.
The 2025 Sen Village Festival is scheduled to open at 8:00 p.m. on May 9 at Lang Sen Stadium (Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District, Nghe An) and close on the night of May 19, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City).
According to the plan, the main activities of the Sen Village Festival in 2025 include the flower offering ceremony in front of the Uncle Ho Monument in Ho Chi Minh Square and the flower offering ceremony, incense offering ceremony at the Uncle Ho Memorial House and Chung Son Temple; The Photo Riding Ceremony of Uncle Ho's Photo from the Uncle Ho Memorial House at Kim Lien Relic Site to the Sen Village Stadium; Inauguration of the statue of "Uncle Ho returning to visit his hometown".
The festival will have many unique cultural, artistic and sports activities including the Miss Tourism " Sen" contest; The 2025 Sen Village Sports Festival; Sen Tourism Cuisine Space and booths to promote OCOP products.
In addition, there are cultural, artistic, sports activities and camping; Sen space, rural market organized by Nam Dan District People's Committee and the inauguration event of the 9-storey Thac project at Ba Hoang Thi Loan tomb.
The special art program "From Sen Village to Ho Chi Minh City" will take place on the night of May 19, at the closing ceremony of the Sen Village Festival, jointly organized by the People's Committee of Nghe An province and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee preside over and coordinate with Nghe An province to organize the art program "From Sen Village to Ho Chi Minh City" with tasks such as developing scripts, general directors, arranging choreography, singers, actors and organizing the program staging.
