According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, 10 years ago, in 2015, UNESCO and Vietnam celebrated the 250th anniversary of Nguyen Du's birth, officially honoring him as a World Cultural Celebrity. That event is not only the great pride of the nation but also affirms that Nguyen Du's ideological and humanistic heritage has become a value of the times, beyond national borders, with the vitality of a global value.
Going beyond national borders, Nguyen Du has left universal human values for humanity, with the core being the ideology for humanity, taking people as the center in all thoughts and artistic creativity, expressing the stature of his great ideology.
Ha Tinh - a land rich in historical, cultural traditions, studiousness, patriotism and revolution - is the homeland of many famous people who have passed away, making the country famous.
Promoting that good and proud tradition, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang hopes that the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Tinh will continue to comprehensively and strongly innovate to develop the socio-economy; making Ha Tinh culture and people an important endogenous driving force for comprehensive, rapid and sustainable development.
At the ceremony, delegates enjoyed a special art program with the theme "Nguyen Du Comics - Heart Will always Light Up", including four chapters: The thoce, Ten Years of the Dust Wind, the book of Kieu - The nation becomes literature and the hope of time.
The program is staged in the form of a live performance combining folk songs, ghm, loi and music, recreating the portrait, life and career of Nguyen Du. Many famous artists and central and local art troupes participated in the performance, creating a solemn, profound artistic space rich in traditional values.
