On the evening of February 2nd, the cultural exchange program to welcome Spring across borders and the Lao Cai Border People's Festival (Vietnam) - Hong Ha (China) 2026 took place in a joyful, warm atmosphere, imbued with solidarity and friendship between people on both sides of the border.
The program attracted the participation of a large number of officers and soldiers of the armed forces, representatives of functional agencies and people in the border area between Vietnam and China.
According to records, the atmosphere in the organizing area has become vibrant and bustling, creating a unique cultural highlight in the early days of the new Spring.
The highlight of the program is elaborately staged art performances, imbued with the traditional cultural identity of the two countries.
Folk songs, folk dances, songs praising the homeland, country, and Vietnam - China friendship and solidarity performed by artists and extras on both sides of the border received enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Many performances clearly show the rich spiritual and cultural life of ethnic minorities living along the border line.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sinh - Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the cultural exchange to welcome Spring across the border is an important activity, contributing to strengthening understanding, people-to-people exchange, consolidating solidarity and traditional friendship between Lao Cai province and Hong Ha Chau in particular, and between the people of Vietnam and China in general.
This is also an opportunity for the two sides to continue to cultivate friendly neighborly relations, comprehensive cooperation, towards building a border line of peace, stability and sustainable development.
Through cultural exchange activities, the program not only brings a joyful and exciting atmosphere at the beginning of the new year but also contributes to tightening the bond between people on both sides of the border, creating an important foundation for strengthening cooperation in many fields in the coming time.
