On the morning of May 26, the Border Guard Command of Quang Binh province said that it had directed units to mobilize search and rescue forces (TKCN) of 10 crew members of the Cong Thanh 07 transport ship that sank in the sea about 10 nautical miles north of Hon La port.
As of 10:15 a.m. on May 26, 10 crew members on Cong Thanh 07 have not been found.
Regarding the incident, up to now, 1 crew member has been rescued by a fishing boat in Quang Binh province.
Specifically, at around 5:15 a.m., Roon Border Guard Station reported receiving information that the fishing boat with registration number QB-93176-TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu (residing in Canh Duong Commune, Quang Trach District) rescued a crew member, Mr. Do Sy Thuong (born in 1978, from Thai Binh) - Vice Captain of the Cong Thanh 07 boat.
At 6:45 a.m., Mr. Thuong was taken to Roon Gate, and the Roon Border Guard Station received and checked his health. Mr. Thuong said that all crew members were wearing life jackets when the boat sank. Mr. Thuong's health is currently stable.
As the Information Lao Dong newspaper, the public ship 07 carrying more than 4,900 tons of coal, the journey from Quang Ninh to Quang Binh, on the train there are 11 crew members. As soon as the news was received, the Border Guard mobilized fishing vessels, on-site forces, ship monitoring information systems and Border Guard Squadron 2 to be ready to deploy TKCN. At the same time, urgent notices were issued to fishermen operating around the area.
Currently, the search and rescue work is still being urgently deployed with the participation of many fishing vessels and border guards, making efforts to search for 10 missing crew members.
