According to sources from Lao Dong Newspaper, a labor accident just happened at about 9 am this morning (January 10) in Chieng Sinh commune. When workers were constructing a drainage ditch, a brick wall collapsed, killing 2 workers on the spot.
This is a project to renovate the rural road network under the National Target Program invested by the People's Committee of Chieng Sinh commune. The construction unit that caused the accident is a business in Muong Ang commune.
Talking by phone with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the leader of Chieng Sinh commune confirmed the above information and said that the police force was present immediately after the accident and is investigating. This leader also said that both deceased workers are locals.
Currently, the government of Chieng Sinh commune is coordinating with families to arrange funeral procedures for the victims according to local customs.
