The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a notice of the conclusion of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong on the progress of the two above-mentioned projects.
For the An Phu intersection project, the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) to ensure the completion progress of the N2 bridge branch (for vehicles turning right from the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway to Mai Chi Tho Street) before December 31, 2025 and the HC1-02 underpass (connecting directly from the Expressway to Mai Chi Tho) before January 15, 2026.

Other bridge branches such as N3, N4 (connecting Mai Chi Tho - Dong Van Cong) and N1.1, N1.3 (left from Mai Chi Tho to the expressway) are expected to open to traffic before June 30, 2026.
The leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Traffic Department to focus on directing and urging the contractor to increase personnel, machinery, materials, etc. to ensure the completion progress of the bridge branches according to plan.
The branch expanding from Luong Dinh Cua Street to Mai Chi Tho Street must be completed before November 30, 2025.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also directed to urgently repair damaged road surfaces within the An Phu intersection project; research and organize a reasonable traffic diversion plan in the area, especially arranging suitable traffic turning points on the expressway (from the expressway to the city center, near Do Xuan Hop street) to reduce congestion and avoid congestion at the An Phu intersection.
The Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Department must be responsible to the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee if the project implementation progress is delayed according to regulations.
Started construction at the end of 2022, the An Phu intersection has a total investment of more than VND 3,400 billion, approved for completion in December 2025. However, the project has only reached more than 70% of the volume so far, many items have been delayed in the opening process.
For the My Thuy intersection project, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested the Traffic Department to urgently complete the procedures for adjusting, supervising, and evaluating the project according to the provisions of the law on public investment, ensuring a legal basis for continued implementation.
The project is also directed to speed up the construction of bridge branches and turns, in which the right turn from Dong Van Cong to Vo Chi Cong and from Dong Van Cong to Nguyen Thi Dinh must be completed before January 31, 2026. The remaining branches and Ky Ha 4 bridge will be completed in February 2026.

Started in 2016, My Thuy intersection consists of two components: construction and installation (1,826 billion VND) and compensation and site clearance (1,623 billion VND), with a total capital of more than 3,400 billion VND. After nearly 9 years, the project has been delayed many times due to land clearance problems and lack of synchronization in implementation.
The two intersections of An Phu and My Thuy are located at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, connecting with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, Mai Chi Tho, Dong Van Cong, Nguyen Thi Dinh, Vo Chi Cong, Luong Dinh Cua streets. These are the main routes in and out of Cat Lai port and Thu Thiem New Urban Area.
When completed, these projects are expected to eliminate the largest traffic congestion in the East, reduce traffic congestion that has lasted for many years, and increase the connectivity capacity of the Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai region.
